
To warm the body and soul, this non-alcoholic drink has no equal. Golden milk is a dry blend of spices composed of turmeric, black pepper and cardamom, which is added to a vegetable oat drink. A pinch of salt awakens the aromas while a spoonful of honey adds sweetness. Take it in an insulated container for an invigorating break at altitude.

Ingredients
- Turmeric Mix
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) ground turmeric
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) ground ginger
- 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) ground black pepper
- 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) ground cardamom
- Beverage
- 500 ml (2 cups) of vegetable drink (oat, soy, almond or cashew)
- 5 ml (1 tsp) turmeric mixture
- 1 pinch of salt
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) honey
Preparation

- In an airtight jar or small bowl, mix all ingredients and cover (see note). The turmeric mixture will keep for 1 month at room temperature.
- Beverage
- In a small saucepan, pour half of the plant-based drink. Add the turmeric mixture and salt, whisking until the spices are dissolved. Stir in the remaining drink. Heat the mixture without boiling, stirring continuously with a whisk. Remove from heat. Stir in the honey. Froth with an immersion blender, if desired. Pour into cups.
This spice mix is ready in no time. With this convenient quantity, you will avoid having to remake it each time. The mixture makes 26 servings of hot golden milk.
